Welcome
Dear Friends
'To be a Marist Sister is to be called by a gracious choice to live the Gospel as Mary did, in a Congregation which bears her name’.
Constitutions 2
On behalf of the Marist Sisters in the United Kingdom I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all who visit our website. We feel privileged to be ‘called by gracious choice’ and are anxious to share our beautiful Marist Charism with you. We hope you will find it informative and inspirational. Do linger a while with us and like Mary take time to ‘ponder’ and allow her spirit to embrace you! As you exit our site, we continue to hold you and your loved ones in prayer until you next visit us!

Our Crest
Called to be a presence of Mary in the Church and in the world, our congregational emblem ‘Sub Mariae Nomine’ (under the name of Mary) identifies and challenges us, as in faith we creatively follow her through Scripture along the whole of our life journey.
‘Sub Mariae Nomine’ in Mary’s Name places all we do under Mary’s protection.
The ‘A’ and ‘M’ – Ave Maria - reminds us that we imitate Mary’s ‘Yes’ to God in our daily lives.
The Stars call to mind biblical references to Mary and her presence at Pentecost in the early Church among the twelve apostles.
The unfolding green flowers inspire as a sign of hope, of new growth, of the infinite creative power of God as he unfailingly injects new life and hope in the future.
